Repair Cavities

Composite Fillings

Our office uses composite (tooth-colored) fillings exclusively to repair cavities. Composite fillings are durable and strong and match the natural color of your tooth. They are also completely mercury-free and non-toxic, unlike traditional metal-amalgam fillings. Your smile will look and feel completely natural after your cavity has been repaired with one of our composite fillings.

Restore Damaged Teeth

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns or “caps” are made of porcelain and designed to look just like your natural tooth. After your tooth has been prepared, the crown fits over the remaining structure and replaces your natural tooth, covering it all the way to the gum line. This allows you to restore your smile if your tooth has been affected by serious decay, or has been cracked or damaged.

Replace Missing Teeth

Full & Partial Dentures

We offer both full & partial dentures at our office. Partial dentures use a metal and plastic framework that supports one or more false teeth. This framework clips onto your remaining healthy teeth, keeping your false teeth in place and restoring your smile and the full functionality of your bite.

Full dentures fit directly over your gums and are only recommended if you’ve lost most or all of your teeth. This is because all of your remaining teeth must be pulled out before a set of full dentures can be created. A set of full dentures is a fast, cost-effective way to restore your smile if you’ve lost most or all of your teeth due to extensive decay, gum disease, or serious oral trauma.

Why do we Only Use Composite Fillings?

Composite Fillings vs. Amalgam

The primary reason that we opt to use composite fillings at our holistic dental practice is that metal-amalgam fillings consist of up to 50% mercury, which is a toxic substance. At our practice, we focus on overall health and using biocompatible materials, so we do not want to restore your smile with a toxic substance.

In addition, composite fillings offer superior strength, great durability, and a natural, tooth-like appearance, whereas metal-amalgam fillings can cause your teeth to look gray and discolored. This means composite fillings give you better cosmetic results, allowing you to feel great about how your smile looks.
